What is Hero, and what does it actually replace?

Employers manage people, contracts, leave, expenses and costs; employees get their own login for payslips, documents, leave and claims. It replaces the patchwork of local bureaus and HR inboxes you'd otherwise juggle country by country.

Is Hero a separate product I pay for?

No. Hero is included when you run Employer of Record, Global Payroll or Global Mobility with AgileHRO — it's the interface to the service you're already buying, not a per-seat SaaS add-on. There's no separate licence, no minimum user count, and giving an employee access costs nothing extra.

Who logs in, and what can each person see?

Accepted Answer

Access is role-based. Employer admins see their whole team, costs and requests; managers can be limited to their own reports; each employee sees only their own contract, payslips, leave and expenses. You control who has admin rights under Team, and you can add or remove access yourself at any time.

Do I need a local entity or local bank accounts to use Hero?

Accepted Answer

No. With Employer of Record, AgileHRO is the legal employer in each country and already holds the entities, registrations and local pay rails. You hire in a new market in days instead of the months it takes to incorporate — and you manage all of it from the same Hero dashboard.

Which countries and currencies does Hero cover?

Accepted Answer

Any of the 150+ countries where AgileHRO employs or pays people, with particular depth across APAC and LATAM. Employment cost, payroll and payslips are all handled in local currency and to local statutory rules, while you see consolidated costs in your billing currency.

How is Hero different from Deel, Remote or Oyster?

The screens look similar; the service behind them is not. Many platforms route your hires to third-party local partners they don't control. AgileHRO staffs its own in-country teams who know the labour law in Jakarta, São Paulo and Manila because they work there — so you get EOR, payroll and mobility under one relationship, one invoice, and named people who own your case rather than a ticket queue.

How long does it take to get an employee live?

Onboarding can begin within 48 hours of you confirming the role, country, start date and package. We draft a locally compliant contract, register the employee for payroll and tax, and set up statutory benefits so they're ready to be paid on their first cycle. Complex markets or visa-dependent hires can take longer — your account manager flags this up front.

How does billing work — will I get surprise costs?

You receive one consolidated invoice that breaks down, per employee, the gross salary, employer contributions, approved expenses and AgileHRO's fee. Employment cost is confirmed before you hire, so the invoice matches what you signed off. Approved expenses flow through the next payroll run rather than arriving as separate charges.

Can employees use Hero on their phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hero runs in any mobile browser with no app to install, so employees can request leave, check a balance, download a payslip for a landlord or visa, and snap a receipt to file an expense from wherever they are.

Is our data secure and compliant?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Access is strictly role-based, so employers and employees only ever see what they should, and personal and payroll data is processed in line with local data-protection law in each country you operate in. Your account manager can share full detail on hosting, data residency and certifications for your security review.

What happens when local law or an employee's situation changes?

Accepted Answer

That's the part Hero handles behind the screen. When statutory pay, tax or leave rules change, or an employee moves, gets a raise or ends their contract, your in-country AgileHRO team applies it — updating filings, entitlements and documents so what you see in Hero stays correct without you tracking every regulation.

Who do I contact if something looks wrong?

Your named AgileHRO account manager or the in-country team, reachable from Support inside Hero. Questions about pay, tax, leave or compliance come to us; questions about an employee's role or manager stay with you. Either way it's real people who know your account, not an anonymous ticket queue.
